Our History

When the war broke out in 1939, E.E. Green & Son were requested to deliver vital admiralty supplies to assist with the war effort.

In 1968, E.E. Green purchased its first digger for £300, and it was then then when E.E. Green & Son Plant Hire was born.

Since that day, the company has continued to grow from strength to strength acquiring many iteams of plant hire over the years, including specialist tools to high-spec machinary. Alongside this, we also provide competitive priced skip and aggregate bag hire, provide our own natural aggregates to customers to help with their projects and manage a fully funcitoning waste management location based in the east coast of England. E.E. Green & Son purchased Folkes Plant and Aggregates based in Burgh Castle. Folkes is operated as a separate company but works closely together with E.E. Green & Son to provide additional services to both our customers.

From humble beginnings... to state of the art

Over the years technology and equipment have changed dramatically and the way of work now is very different to the days when Ernie had his Horse and Cart. E.E. Green & Son deals extensively in Lorry and Plant Hire, Muck Away and Bulk Earthworks, Aggregate Supplies and offers a full range of Skip Hire. The most recent acquisition is a tracked concrete crusher built to the latest specification. In fact the concrete crusher is the first one of its kind in Norfolk. Times have changed from the £300 digger that started E.E. Green & Son to the concrete crusher that's used today which cost £165,000.
